DC Controls
One Way One-way DC controls are
designed to operate permanent magnet or wound field motors. If the motor's
rotation needs to be changed, the armature leads need to be reversed. Some
NEMA 1 and NEMA 4X controls offer optional switched for reversal. Stopping
of a motor with a one-way control should be done by dynamic braking, some
controls offer the Forward-Brake-Reverse switch for this purpose too.
Regenerative controls are designed to easily operate the motor in forward
and reverse directions without motor lead reversal. A separate set of SCRs
is used for each direction. With a regen control, stopping is controlled
by using the motor's regenerated voltage sent back to the AC line. |

Gear Products
DC Gearmotors Baldor DC
Gearmotors are available in 90 & 180 volts in both right angle and
parallel shaft designs with industry standard mounting configurations. The
Right Angle single reduction units feature an Internal Expansion Bladder
and Mobil® SHC634 Synthetic oil for long maintenance free operation. The
Internal Expansion Bladder keeps the lubrication free of contaminates by
eliminating the need to vent the gearbox and allows all position mounting.
This feature is exclusive to Baldor.
Speed Reducers are available with ratings up to 25 HP. Our Right Angle
Speed Reducers feature heavy-duty cast iron construction, chill cast
bronze gears, precision ground worms and an internal expansion bladder
that keeps the lubrication free of contaminates by eliminating the need to
vent the gearbox. |

Servo Motors
Baldor's DC Servo motors were
designed rugged to meet demanding requirements of industrial motion
control. Available in diameters from 2.2 - 4 inch (55.8 - 101.6 mm) to
provide continuous stall torques up to 56 lb-in (6.3 N-m). They are
designed to handle a continuous high temperature of 155oC for reliability
and dependability. |
